So today is Dale's birthday but we surprised him by having his birthday dinner last night. No particular reason just wanted to make it a bit of a surprise. He has to work long hours all this week because the branch manager is on vacation so Dale gets to do his job plus the other guys. I don't know who ever came up with the assumption that there is such a thing as Banker's Hours because that is definitely not the case in today's world. Dale works long hours and he will not have a day off (except for Sunday) for the next two weeks. He certainly deserved a special dinner.

| Dale loves Black and Blue salad so that is what I fixed along with some Parmesan bread sticks. |
 |
and a German Chocolate cake
The kids were a little thrown off by the coconut in the frosting. They insist coconut has nothing to do with Germany. You can't tell from the picture, in fact you couldn't tell on the actual cake either but the candles were supposed to look like a 5 and a 3. I tried. lol |

| Catherine sneaking into her dad's photo. Silly girl. |
 |
| Gordon sent Dale a Scotland football (soccer) jersey from the 1979 team. He lived in Scotland then and was so excited to have the jersey. He has been looking for one he said. Good find Gordon! |

| This is what I got every time I tried to get a picture of Gregory. So funny Gregory. |
Great looking birthday Dinner! Love your layout too.
