but since I never posted Day 9 I figured I better get caught up.
Day 9-A picture of your friends
I've been lucky enough to have good friends over the course of my life. I moved often as a child and was pretty outgoing (shocker I know) so I was always able to make new friends.
Here are just a few friends that I actually have pictures of, there are others that mean a lot to me but for time I will keep the list to these.
1. Pattie and Kathy are my two BFF;s. (do people still use that term?) We talk almost every day and on the mornings that we walk together we really talk. We laugh at each other and at ourselves when we are together. They are just the best friends ever and are always genuinely concerned about my welfare. We discuss our hopes and dreams, trials and struggles and are always supportive of each other. I love these guys!!!
2. This is Heidi. She's my phone buddy cause that's how we do most of our talking although we do get together once in a while and I see her at church weekly. She is so grounded and I love how she is raising four boys and one girl and even though her kids are younger than most of mine we can still relate to life in a house full of boys. She is a wonderful example to my daughter as her past YW leader and now adult friend.
3. My sister Susan is my best friend. She is the most thoughtful, giving, caring person I know. We are total opposites in that respect. She is always in tune with the Spirit and knowing when others need help and is willing to give of herself always. She has raised 7 wonderful kids and was always just a phone call away when I have needed advice on raising my own. She encourages me to do better in life and is always a positive example. I am so lucky to have her for my older sister. She has been such a blessing to me.
4. This one is for you Emilee because you said you didn't have any photos with your friends. I know we have only met once but I just always feel a connection to you. I look forward to your comments and reading your blog. I feel like I have known you for a long time not just the past few years. You are a wonderful example to me. I hope you know that. :)
5. Kristine, Terri and Laura are the best! I served in a church position with these three gals for, oh I don't know, two or three years. We had the best time ever. I have never served with a more fun, spiritual, loving, compassionate group of women in my life. I have learned so much from them. They truly are my sisters in the Gospel and I love them all.
6. Kim and Jan my two SM buddies! I was lucky enough to meet these two in real life last fall and it just made me sad. Sad that we don't live close (or even in the same time zone) because after spending time with them I didn't want to leave. They are just as sweet and sincere and talented and smart in real life as they are online. I love having Jan around to help me remember just how young we really are and Kim is the best "little sister" I never got to have. They both are such an inspiration to me. I am baking bread and attempting an online math course because of them. Bet you two didn't even know that did you?
There they are. Some of the people in my life that support me and influence me to want to be a better person. That is real friendship.

Aahh, you made my day. I love having friends online and you were one of my first online friends. So weird that we have 'known' each other for years and only met once. We need to change that. Thanks for the sweet comments.
ReplyDeleteREALLY??? You're right, I DIDN'T know that! I hope the course works for you...math is definitely something I COULDN'T do online!! Thank you so much for those sweet words Shari, I am very touched to count among all those amazing ladies and I loved reading this post!
ReplyDeleteShari.... so sweet! I love how you told about each one and how they make your life better! I smiled! :)
ReplyDeleteI love being dubbed your "phone friend"...maybe we should add texting to that too! I'm flattered to be added with those other wonderful ladies!
