Geoffrey's new classes just started up at the same time. Fortunately Gordon was not scheduled to work so he was able to help take care of Benton so Geoffrey could go to class and work.
As soon as Bailie came home from the hospital and Jessie was looking forward to getting some sleep in her own bed, Benton had a seizure and they had to rush him to the hospital. I can't imagine the panic those two parents must have felt as their two year old son stopped breathing and turned blue. Sheer panic is all I could imagine because that is how I would have felt.
They got Benton. to the hospital via ambulance, where he had a second seizure. After doing a CT scan and running some blood test they think his seizures were caused by his dehydration from the virus.
As of early this morning he is feeling much better, no more seizures. I'm sure he and mommy would just like to be home.
This was Benton just waking up last night. Still groggy and not really sure what had been happening. Poor little guy.

It is hard not being able to be there and help the kids through this. That is the hardest part about being a parent, you have to let your kids struggle through trials on their own when really all you want to do is take care of them and make the pain go away.
I hate living so far away from my kids and grandkids but I am so grateful for the love and support and prayers of those that are there and able to help out. I am equally grateful for the prayers of my extended family members and all my dear friends at ScrapMatters. It is like our own little prayer club. When any of us have trials in our lives we can post about it and within minutes numerous wonderful woman are sending prayers on our behalf. I believe in the power of prayer and I know it is because of those prayers and the Lord's will that my family is being taken care of even when I can't be there to make their pain go away.

How scary!!! I'm glad they are doing better all of them are in our prayers.
