So a package came in the mail today while I was on the phone with a travel agent. I answered the door grab the mail and put it on the counter. Normally when packages come to our house they are for Gregory. He likes to order parts for his car or new t-shirts. I looked at it, saw that it was addressed to me, tried for the life of me to figure out what it was (remember I'm on the phone) and just sort of forgot about it after my phone call. When Catherine came home for lunch her first question was, "Who is this package for?" I said, "Oh, yeah, that is for me, I don't know what it is." She asked if I saw who it was from and I said I hadn't even looked. So she told me it was from Scrumptulicious Cookies. Then it all came flooding back to me.
Last week I entered a blog contest at Betsy Farmer Designs, who designs my favorite jewelry by the way, for a free give-a-way for some fancy shortbread cookies made by Scrumptulicious Cookies. I did it just for the fun of it, never really expecting to win. Boy was I surprised when I did win. How exciting to win something. It just made my day. Yeah, I know, it doesn't take much to excite me. But that was last week and my brain had totally forgotten to expect something in the mail so I was surprised all over again.
Look at this yummy prize I won.
So far I have tried the Hibiscus Cashew, Vanilla Bean and Lavender Lemon (that one is my fav so far). I was a little bummed, really how bummed can you be when someone hands you free cookies, that the only chocolate ones have Espresso in them so they will go to the neighbors but we will surely enjoy the rest. Thanks so much Betsy Farmer Designs and Scrumpulicious Cookies.
Congrats! What a special mail surprise.
