This summer belongs to school. My son is attending summer school. That is a first for our family. I've had kids come close to not passing a class but even the one that hated school knew enough to do just enough work to pass all his classes. The frustrating thing is this kid is smart. He just doesn't want to do the work. So every morning at 9:00 we head off to the neighboring town so he can sit through a two and a half hour Algebra class.
Since the school he goes to is across from the community pool my youngest son is taking swimming lessons there. He is doing great and I am much more please with the instruction he gets at this pool than the other pool we have gone to for the past 20 years. Some times it's a smart thing to step out of your comfort zone and make new discoveries.
