Goodbye Briarwood...thanks for the memories.

We have known for quite a few years that the local grade school was going to be rebuilt. It's been an exciting process watching them clear the land right next to the current school and build up a brand new school. As soon as the school year was over the construction workers didn't waste any time demolishing the school that all six kids have gone to. Grant will be able to enjoy his last two years of grade school in the brand new building that we are very exited for. But for now it is a sad goodbye to the old school where so much of our family's time was spent. I served on PTA and have spent countless hours in all the kids classes. We have made wonderful friends here and will forever have very fond memories of the loving teachers and principals that have served our family over the years.  We started at this Briarwood with Geoffrey as a third grader and finished up with Grant as a third grader. 20 years of knowledge has been spend here. Thank you Briarwood!
The last week of school the students were all allowed to paint on the school walls. You don't see that too often.

This is what was left of the old Kindergarten/Music building. It was exciting to see the big machines at work.

Grant and two of my day care kids (who shall remain anonymous) standing in the covered basket ball area. Behind the big whole in the wall is where Grant's building from, this past year, used to be.

We couldn't leave without getting a Briarwood brick to go with our Spori Building brick and our volcanic rock that sit out in Grant's little flower garden.

Gatlin's gnome  likes his new special seat.
