Keeping It Real

A friend of mine blogged about keeping it real, you know, the kind of post where you bare all about the REAL you. Not the make believe you that you usually blog about. The all together you, the crafty you, the stylish you, the perfect mom with perfect children you. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. We've all gagged reading those mommy blogs that claim all of the aforementioned.
I am not one of those mommies. Never have been, never will be. Life in my abode is real, sometimes a little more real than I would like but, well, that is life.
Anyway the point is the challenge was to post a picture of your home showing the "real" you no matter how humiliating it might be so I decided to take the challenge and bare my reality.

This is my dining room table/office/craft table.  It always looks like this unless we are having company over which doesn't happen too often, maybe because this table always looks like this.

Thank goodness we have this pretty table to actually eat our meals at.

So there you have it. My reality in all it's messy glory. The rest of my house is usually pretty picked up but we all need a spot where we are free to be "real" don't we?  I'm going with that.

  1. OMW. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your commentary on the various piles on the table. Well done on baring it all. *Ponders if I should bare my desk to the internet world*
